“Joe Cook and Black Dyke are trailblazers, as impressive in musical enterprise as they are in technical brilliance.”
Philip Wilby

“Joe has risen to become one of the countries finest exponents of the bass tuba and his interpretation of Capriccio is among the finest in recording, capturing the essence of the piece to perfection”
Rodney Newton

“My Concerto has had many performances during its 32 year existence, therefore it’s a great credit to Joseph Cook and the Black Dyke Band thats this is one of the best recordings I’ve had the pleasure to hear!”
Edward Gregson

“Joseph’s playing has done much to reassure me that the Tuba can hold its own with more common Concerto instruments as a veichle for musical expression - and I’m thrilled with the result”
Phillip Sparke
